The Standing Commission on Social Service of HKSKH Soccer Betting and its effects on Youth 'Watching soccer is enjoyable But betting hurts'
Please do not associate the enjoyment of watching football with its related betting

The Standing Commission on Social Service of HKSKH met at the Archbishop's Residence for the second time to discuss, 'The impact of the legalization of soccer betting on youth.' It was unanimously agreed in the meeting that with the onset of the Euro 2004 soccer games, a banner that says, 'Watching soccer is enjoyable, but betting hurts' should be put up in all SKH churches, secondary and primary schools, and all community service organizations. This acts as a reminder to everyone not to make any association between watching soccer and betting.

Christian Listening ˇXˇXWhat is it ?
By Linda LUI, Sunday School co-ordinator of Christ Church, Kowloon Tong
(excepts are taken from the pamphlet printed by the Acorn Christian Foundation)

I am a Christian Listener and have taken, in Hong Kong at SKH Ming Hua Theology College, the 'Learning to Listen' and 'Called to Listen' Courses. In April 2003 I was selected to attend the Tutors' Training Course on Christian Listening at Whitehill Chase, Bordon, UK, which is the base of the Acorn Christian Foundation. The purpose is that on my return, I could train more people from the Anglican churches to be Christian Listeners and Christian Listening Tutors.
